Williams, Sr.

Text Box: In October 2000, God blessed Elder James Williams to become the pastor of St. James Ministries Church of God in Christ.  Pastor Williams is an anointed preacher and teacher.  He loves the Word of God and he is also a man after God’s own heart.  Pastor Williams lays before the Lord daily in fervent prayer for His people.  He teaches that prayer is an essential part of a Christian’s life in his/her walk with the Lord.  It is not uncommon to find Pastor Williams in the church praying at 4 or 5 o’clock in the morning.  In the year 2000, he started the “5 AM Prayer” group that meets every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for 45 minutes.  He is often called upon for intercessory prayer for church members and their family and friends.
Pastor Williams is a friendly man who has crossed denominational lines to fellowship with other churches in the Shrewsbury Community of Old Jefferson where St. James Ministries is located.  Following the evacuation for Hurricane Gustav, the Lord laid it upon Pastor Williams’ heart to start a Prayer Line Ministry.  In pursuit of that mission, St. James Ministries is grateful for the services the Missionaries of Prayer provide for Christians who need an avenue to promote prayer throughout the nation.
The “Prayer Line Ministry” began on Monday, February 2, 2009, every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 AM to 7 AM Central Time.  The Prayer Line phone number is 1-712-451-6100 and the pass code is 402039#.  This is a long distance call and the caller must pay applicable long distance charges, unless the caller has unlimited long distance phone service or free night and weekend phone service.  The Prayer Line will be open to everybody.
